KUZA (Adolescent and Youth Empowerment)
Equipping adolescents and youth with disabilities with skills and equitable access to opportunities.
The Kuza Program empowers adolescents and youth with disabilities by building the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to thrive in education, employment, and beyond. Through a holistic and inclusive approach, Kuza nurtures personal growth and professional readiness.
Participants engage in STEM mentorship, digital literacy, and life skills development, enabling them to pursue careers in science and technology while gaining the adaptability needed to navigate social and economic challenges. The program also integrates climate resilience training, ensuring young people are prepared to respond to environmental issues affecting their communities.
Kuza works closely with educators, training them to create disability-inclusive and gender-responsive learning environments. This inclusive pedagogy enables diverse learners to succeed academically and transition smoothly into higher education and employment.
To support economic empowerment, Kuza offers training in labour market skills, savings education, and small business development. The program also facilitates access to internships and job opportunities through public-private partnerships, while offering essential pre- and post-placement counseling.
By providing a comprehensive framework of support, Kuza enables youth with disabilities to unlock their potential, build meaningful careers, and contribute confidently to their communities.
