A community health promoter supporting the distribution of food items in Dagoretti
Over the past several weeks, Kenya has experienced heavy rainfall, leading to severe flooding in various communities, including Kibera, Dagoretti, Mukuru Kwa Njenga, and Mathare. Many families have suffered damage to their homes and incurred significant losses.
Families with children and women with disabilities face additional challenges during floods, extending beyond the physical impact on their homes and environment. In regular circumstances, many families have limited access to specialized medical care, assistive devices, and support services. The floods worsen these obstacles, placing added strain on parents, family members, and caregivers of children with disabilities in providing essential care and support.
Your contributions can significantly impact meeting these needs and supporting the most vulnerable individuals affected by the floods. We extend heartfelt thanks to our partners and supporters for their generous contributions. We encourage others to participate in our flood relief initiative to create significant and lasting improvements in the lives of families with children and women with disabilities at The Action Foundation.
